Management and Control

The main focus in the Management and control element is set on traditional pro-‐ ject management issues, like resource allocation, project group constellation, time plan development, and guideline establishment for the following phases in the PSDF. The element provides many helpful suggestions of do’s and don´ts, but a specific and structured method is lacking. Therefore, it is beneficial to consult other project management literature in order to understand the element in detail and to be able to perform it accurately. The Prepare investment request phase is found to be most difficult to comprehend. The reason for this is believed to be a combination of the executioners’ limited experience in the field and the fact that there exists no specific guideline to refer to. As a result, the element is found to be moderately easy to learn.
